The Afritada sauce really tastes like the home-cooked stew, not that watery stuff you sometimes get in cans. I just heated it up straight from the tin and poured it over rice for a weeknight dinner, and it felt like a proper meal in five minutes. Definitely keeping a few cans in the cupboard for tho
Grabbed two cans for a lazy Sunday lunch and wow, the sauce is properly thick with that afritada-style tomato base. The flakes are tender and soak up the flavor nicely, perfect straight out of the can over rice.
The sauce is rich and tomatoey enough that I didn't even need to add extras when I dumped it over rice for lunch. It's a solid go-to for those days when you want that home-cooked afritada taste without the actual cooking time.
