Macapuno (Kokosspross) in schwerem Sirup

The texture is exactly what I wanted for halo-halo—chewy but tender, not stringy at all. The heavy syrup is sweet without being cloying, so a little goes a long way in my desserts.

The jar arrived sealed tight and the coconut strands are beautifully chewy, just how I remember from halo-halo. I've already scooped it over shaved ice twice this week and the heavy syrup coats everything just right without turning overly sweet.
