บูเอนาส กุ้งเค็มเล็ก (Bagoong Alamang)

I usually buy fresh from the palengke, but this jar tastes just as close to the real thing and the tiny shrimp are packed tight, not watery. The savory richness hits right when I sauté it with garlic for sinigang.

The salt level is just right for the price—savory without being overwhelming, and the tiny shrimp pieces are surprisingly meaty. I've been using it straight out of the jar as a quick topping for fried rice and it does the job perfectly every time.

Tossed a spoonful into my sinigang broth and it dissolved perfectly, giving that deep umami without turning the soup cloudy. The shrimp are tiny but packed tight, so one jar goes a long way for my weekly cooking.
